Thirurananthapuram-
is the capital of Kerala a blend of the old and new.
Padmanabha Swamy Temple is a lovely example of Kerala architecture. Amman Kudam Festivals at Attingal Muthuraman Temple are held in February and at Janardnandswamy Temple in Vartaka in March.
Lake Akkulum has a children's park, boating facilities and a zoo.
Vijnanan Kala Vedic Centre is an arts training centre with performances of Kathakali, Mohiniattam and Bharatanatyam.
Padmanabhapuram Palace was built in 16th century with five temples, two bathing ponds and two schools. Mahogany and teak pillars, carved wooden ceilings and sculptures provide a rich ambience. It is 35 miles from Trivandrum.

Ponniudi-
is a picturesque locale at an altitude of 1000 metres — abounding in picnic spots, orchards and trekking paths.

Kovalam-
has beautiful beaches, local catamarans for boat rides and sunbathing.

Kollam and Alappuzha-
The famous backwaters of Kerala are spread between three main ports of Kochi, Alappuzha and Kozhikode.
Thangasseri Fort - is an ancient fort near Kollam Palace of krishnapuram has a large collection of wall murals.
The Nehru Boat Race is famous and is held on 2nd Saturday of August.
Mannarasala Nagaraja Temple is an important centre for serpent worship.

Patthiramanal Island in the vembanad Lake is truly idyllic.

Kottayam-
the best temple architecture of Kerala can be seen in Kottayam.
Vaikom Siva Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and the festival is held in Nov-Dec. Thirunakkara Shiva Temple has one of the best performance halls.
St. Mary's Church at Valliapally, Cherigapalley and Kuruvilanad are fine examples of old architecture.
Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary are famous and an interesting visit.

Kochi-
Museum of Kerala History at Edapally encapsulates details of Kerala's cultural traditions, social movements and secular polity.
St. Francis' Church had the remains of Vasco da Gama buried here for 14 years before being transferred to Portugal.
The Jewish Synagogue at Mattanchery, built in 1568, is a visual delight. It is the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth.
The Dutch Palace contains outstanding mural depicting scenes from the Indian epics. Bolgatty Palace was built by the Dutch and is now been utilised as a period hotel.

Thrissur-
Vedakumnatha Temple is ancient and holds the famed Pooram Festival.
Irinjalakuda manufactures traditional vessels made of an alloy of five metals. It also has a famous Kathakali performing centre.

Guruvayur-
is one of the most sacred pilgrim centres. It has ornate stone carvings, performance hall and elephants.

Coir mats, Teakwood & Rosewood Objects and Furniture.
